The White Lady || Cocktail Series
Jon and I have a habit of watching a tv series while we wind down at night. Lately we have fallen for a Spanish period piece set in Madrid during the 1920/30s about cable girls (aptly named Cable Girls). The show is ridiculous, just when you think that they don't need another plot point/line, they add one. It's crazy, and I love it. The sets are beautiful, but so are the cocktails. The one cocktail the main character talked about was the White Lady and she described the drink as what "city girls drink". So of course I'm making it for you. It's definitely fancy, exactly what you expect from a prohibition-style bar that has sprung up over the past decade. Oh and it has an egg white in, so I'm completely game for this.
The White Lady
- 1.5 oz gin
- 0.75 oz lemon juice
- 0.75 oz Cointreau
- 1 egg white
Combine all ingredients in a shaker without ice (called Dry Shake). Shake to create a thick foam. Them add ice, and shake again to chill. Pour into glass (coupe or martini)
